YINduldge into stillness – This 2 hours class will give you an opportunity to enjoy and experience a guided Mindful meditation practice followed by a slow paced and grounding Yin Yoga. Either new to meditation, or if you have an established practice, I strongly encourage you to come and treat your body to this unique experience. Yin yoga is designed to stimulate the deeper tissue of the body, allowing the participant to increase their flexibility and range of motion, as well as to enhance the quality of their internal Qi (energy), feeling physically and mentally balanced.

Ashtanga Primary Series
Yoga Chikitsa (yoga therapy) is the first of 4 series of Ashtanga vinyasa. In a fast-paced, dynamic sequence that opens new dimensions of the mind-body-breathe connection, you will begin to move into a direct experience of the flow of the practice. With careful emphasis on the traditional vinyasa method, this class presents the full Ashtanga Yoga Primary series. Prior yoga experience recommended. Be prepared to sweat.
Breath and Body
This class is a great place to start if you are new to Yoga, learn the basics of this profound art of healing, from the breath, basics standing postures, sun salutations, seated and finishing postures. Develop a sense of awareness and connection with your body as you simply breathe and move on your mat. Feel and enjoy the benefits of the practice through a simple flow that incorporates breathing and movement. All levels welcome!
Based on the teachings of Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers, this class is suited for everyone from the high end athlete to someone with moderate mobility. Primarily focused on low back, hips, upper legs and spine, this a contemplative style of yoga that encourages inner contemplation whiles releasing the fascia in the body. Using specific asanas for those target areas in our body, you will find instant bliss even after your first class. No Experience required.
Practice at your own pace! Whether you are new to the practice or an experienced yogi, this class will be tailored specifically for your body. After an initial consultation, where we assess your requirements and evaluate your expectations, we will work on a sequence of postures that suits you, maximising the benefits of your practice by building up strength, flexibility and endurance. All levels welcome!
Little OMies / Young Yogis
During Little OMies your child/children will enjoy a fun and safe environment where they will enhance their flexibility, increase breathing awareness, learn relaxation techniques, improve balance and coordination, develop more concentration and build self-esteem and confidence, through creative body postures, fun body sequences and flows full of energy, music and themed based stories. All levels welcome!!! Ages 4+ years.
Prenatal yoga is an excellent way to remain flexible, stay in shape, reduce stress and share experiences during pregnancy. In class you will learn breathing techniques to help with anxiety, restless night, and general demands of pregnancy and child birth. Our classes will lead you through a practice that is safe, strengthening, and relaxing. Classes are appropriate for all stages of pregnancy. Come join our Namaste Mamma’s community!
Our program offers In-house Yoga including classes and educational workshops on meditation, nutrition, breathing techniques. On-going classes once or twice a week keep employees engaged and motivated, benefiting both the company and its employees. Specialized classes addressing common corporate health issues – all our classes are carefully planned and thought through, tailored to a group of people, addressing most common occupational and stress related health complaints such as chronic back pain, upper respiratory issues, headaches, fatigue and poor quality of sleep. Retreats complementing the class experience with full or half day retreats are the ideal way to kick off a wellness program, promote team building. Namaste Yoga develops the agenda or each retreat working closely with employees to identify their health goals, and maximize their experience with us. All our students should observe the following studio etiquette prior to class:
- Be on time, so you get the most of your practice by creating your sacred space at the beginning of class
- Always take your shoes off before entering the space
- Check in at the desk before going into class even if you have registered online
- Bring a water bottle and a small towel for your practice, drink before, and after your practice
- Turn your phones off before coming into the space
- Scent-free personal items are preferred, refrain from using body sprays or perfume before class
- Minimize conversation or go silent all together
- Observe silence during Savasana
Who we are
Co-owner / Yoga Practitioner
Gaby discovered yoga after the birth of her first child in 2000 while experiencing chronic back pain, she bought a yoga DVD and started practicing at home and experienced immediate health benefits; no pain, better sleep, more energy. Ever since, she's been practicing and learning the art of Yoga intermittently, up until 2012 when she decided to take her talents to the next level and took the 200 hours Life Power Yoga Teacher Training under Mario's guidance. She has recently completed level 2 of Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Paul and Suzie Grilley, and is currently persuing her 500 hours with Insight Yoga Institute under the guidance of Sarah and Ty Powers. Her passion is Yin Yoga and Meditation, and she loves to practice Ashtanga Yoga as well. Everyday, she looks forward to meeting and connecting with her students on a personal level. Gaby is a 200h Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. "Yoga has, and continues to help me become a better person, friend, mother and wife every single day"
Mario Alejandro Quijano

Mario has been practicing yoga since his very first Ashtanga class back in 1999. His passion for yoga has lead him to discover various styles and lineages rooted in the ancient teachings from India. In 2009 he received his first 200hr. yoga certification from The Yoga Institute of Houston with Lex. This would lead him to pursue a second one with Sheryl Braun /LifePower Yoga and a third, also with LifePower under Master Teacher Jonny Kest. Mario considers himself the ever-student. For him, teaching/learning new styles and continuing his path as an Ashtangi are as he says " An exciting way to spend the next few decades of my life!" Education and community building are at the heart of Mario's endeavors. His message to the world is a simple one. Yoga is the answer!
Prenatal & Kids Yoga Practitioner
Jerrilyn spent her younger years acting in plays and selling crab cakes at Dallas food festivals. Eventually she hung up her apron strings, packed up her love for theatre and music, and moved to the diverse Bayou City. She developed a consistent yoga practice after the birth of her third child. Yoga helped her from the recovery of giving birth and her daily activities as a stay at home for a newborn, toddler and school age child. Yoga has taught Jerrilyn that transformation can be experienced in the body and the mind through breathing. In 2014 she received her first 200hr through LifePower Yoga. In 2015 she gain additional 95hr Prenatal Yoga teacher with the Yoga Room. In 2016 She earned her Kids Yoga certification with Rainbow Kids. The intention behind her teaching is to get young and seasoned individuals intrigued with and awakened to the awesome inner workings of their greatest and highest self. She also dedicates her time to serving women and their families through birth support and yoga instruction.
Originally from The Netherlands, Monica took her first yoga class many years ago, but it wasn’t until 2014 that she started practicing regularly with Gaby. Being an avid golfer, she realised that practising regularly Ashtanga and Vinyasa styles was a perfect combination to get and stay in shape. Monica enjoyed her practice so much that she decided to deepen her knowledge and in 2015 she took her 200 hours certification with LifePower Yoga here in Houston. Monica’s experience is that through conscious breathing one’s able to bring one’s attention inward, leave triggers where they are, become less reactionary, calmer, grounded, more accepting and in the end much happier. Monica’s message to the world is“Yoga is for every one and every (body) - give it a go to find out.”
Originally from Huntsville, Alabama, went to school and played college football at LSU where he graduated in Economics and Industrial Engineering. It was in college where Gabe's first experienced yoga as part of their recovery and stretching program. After a few practices “I truly found myself on the mat”. In 2015, he got the itch to grow his practice and gain his 200h certification under Life Power Yoga. Gabe's passionate about teaching flow classes and is very creative with his flows, he is also a natural when it comes to inviting his students into stillness through the practice of Yin and meditation. Gabe’s message to the world is “my one truth that I hold higher than any other, unapologetically is LOVE”.
Athletics have always been a part of Amy’s life as long as she can remember. Beginning with swimming and gymnastics, she eventually discovered her true passion as a long distance runner. Little did she know when she stumbled briefly upon Bikram Yoga in 1999, that it would eventually open doors to a lifestyle she embraced. Even though she turned to yoga in early 2013 to deal with flexibility issues from years of distance running, she soon discovered the far-reaching benefits yoga had to offer. In 2013 Amy completed a Senior Yoga certification through YogaFit, and in 2015 she completed her 200hr certification through Larry Thraen at Joy Yoga. She thoroughly enjoys teaching what she is so passionate about because she feels it is extremely gratifying to “turn people onto yoga”. Amy enjoys watching her students blossom and grow, and believes their lives will be not only enriched, but also more meaningful spiritually, physically, and mentally!
